Down & Derby Cleaning – Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 25, 2025

1. Scope of Service

Down & Derby Cleaning provides residential cleaning services as agreed at booking (Standard, Deep, Move-In/Out, or customized).
Each service covers only the tasks listed and confirmed before the appointment.
Extra tasks, heavy buildup, organization/decluttering, or hazardous conditions may require rescheduling or an updated rate.

2. Access

Client must provide safe, unlocked access to the property at the scheduled time.
If I cannot enter, that is treated as a same-day cancellation (see Cancellations & Rescheduling).

3. Pets

Down & Derby Cleaning is pet-friendly. I work around dogs and other household pets when possible.
Client is responsible for securing pets during service.
I am not responsible for pets escaping, stress behaviors, accidents, or damage caused by pets during or after service.

4. Supplies & Equipment

All standard products, tools, and equipment are provided by Down & Derby Cleaning unless we agree otherwise in advance.
I use pet-safe and common household products whenever possible, but it is the client’s responsibility to inform me before service if there are surfaces, finishes, or materials that require special or restricted products.

5. Payment

Payment is due on the day of service.
Accepted forms include cash, check, or Venmo (@DerbyCleaning).
Failure to pay on the service date may result in a late fee or refusal of future service.

6. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
Same-day cancellations, missed appointments, or no access on arrival may be charged up to 50% of the scheduled service total.
Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in refusal of future bookings.

7. Breakage / Damage / Liability

Down & Derby Cleaning is insured.
I am not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage or wear

  • Items that are not structurally sound (loose fixtures, unstable shelving, etc.)

  • Items that were already cracked or improperly installed

  • Hidden or unknown issues (active leaks, mold, etc.)

Clients should remove or secure fragile, sentimental, or high-value items before service.

8. Health & Safety

I reserve the right to refuse or stop service if I encounter unsafe conditions (biohazard, infestations, aggressive animals, harassment, etc.).
If service is stopped for safety reasons, that visit may still be charged.

9. Quotes and Pricing

Any price given before seeing the space is an estimate only.
Final pricing is based on actual condition, size, and scope at the time of service.
Move-in/move-out cleanings assume the home is empty or mostly empty; furnished or occupied move-outs may be billed at a higher rate.

10. Website Use

This website and all content (text, photos, branding, logos) belong to Down & Derby Cleaning.
You may not copy, reuse, or represent this content or business name without written permission.

11. Disclaimer

All information on this site is provided “as is.”
I make no guarantees that the site will always be available, error-free, or up to date.
Service availability may change at any time based on capacity.

12. Updates

These Terms of Service may be updated periodically.
The most recent version will always appear on this page.
Continued use of the site or continued booking after changes means you accept the updated terms.
